NXP selects Cezanne Software’s Succession & Career planning software to help drive business growth

Leading international semiconductor company implements strategic talent management software to meet business goals

NXP, Europe’s second largest semiconductor company and a top ten supplier worldwide has implemented the latest version of Cezanne’s Succession & Career planning software to manage its global talent pool. The company, which employs over 37,000 people worldwide, selected Cezanne’s product for its proven ability to provide enterprise-wide support for strategic succession and talent management, identified as a high priority by NXP.

With the Cezanne system, NXP now has a single view of people, positions and potential across its business, and can actively manage the careers of their key people as well as monitor and develop its overall talent pool.

Over 150 users in the HR departments and in senior management across NXP worldwide have secure access via the company intranet to the system, re-branded internally as Talent Track, which holds data on over 2,000 of its top executives.

Founded by Philips 50 years ago, NPX became an independent company in June 2006. According to Carmen Morilla, Project Manager in the HR department at NXP’s headquarters in Eindhoven, the Netherlands: ”Succession planning is even more important now that we are an independent company. It is critical that, as well as attracting new talent into the business, we retain staff that are familiar with our way of working and who have knowledge of our company, products and philosophies. One of the ways we can do this is through succession and career planning”.

“There is a huge amount of data involved in the discipline of talent management. Without a system we would have to rely on manually collating information in spreadsheets from all of the different sources. It would be an almost unthinkable challenge both to keep the information up to date, and to use and share it globally,” explained Morilla.
