Global packaging company selects Cezanne’s HR software to improve people & performance management across the group
London, UK - 22 May 2007
LINPAC will use the system to help it develop and promote talent on a global basis
LINPAC, a £1.1 billion global business with core activities in packaging and materials handling, has chosen Cezanne’s suite of HR software to enable it to more effectively manage and develop their employees across five continents.
Cezanne’s products were selected for their combination of administrative and strategic HR functionality, easy-to-use self service, and for the system’s ability to support different currencies and languages (including non-Western character sets, such as Greek and Russian). LINPAC expects the new software to increase the efficiency of their HR management processes, as well as provide a single source of data to support HR decisions across the organisation.
According to Jacki Sanderson, HR Manager at LINPAC; “Cezanne’s software matched our requirements. With over 9,000 staff around the world, it’s important that we have excellent HR management systems that help manage both people and performance to provide opportunities for staff development and improve succession planning.”
LINPAC has chosen to implement a number of the key modules in the Cezanne suite. Cezanne People supplies core administrative functionality, providing a comprehensive database of employee information and making it easier to manage absences, such as sickness and holidays, as well as track positions and other organisational data. The system holds competencies for both employees and positions and provides advanced graphical reporting, so that development and career opportunities for staff can be easily identified across the group.
The company will use Cezanne Performance to enable managers to carry out appraisals on-line, replacing the current paper intensive approach. Cezanne’s software is built around a configurable workflow engine. With performance management this means appraisal activities and reminders can be automatically routed to the right people at the right time, improving administrative efficiency and helping to ensure deadlines are met and up to date information on employee’s performance, skills and development needs is available.
Cezanne Succession & Career will be used by the company to capture the skills, talents and aspirations of personnel, enabling careers to be tracked and managed and a more extensive approach to succession planning being implemented. Cezanne’s organisation charting tool, HRCharter, will provide management information and allow employees across the organisation to access up-to-date org charts and contact information.
LINPAC encourages its local business units to take operational responsibility, so that they can react swiftly to changing market conditions and customer needs. That means self-service functionality and fast easy access to data is critical.
Jacki Sanderson explained; “The self-service feature will provide staff and management with better access to information, which will improve both processes and save time. Cezanne’s web based software will enable us to collaborate easily across business divisions and functions worldwide. Its support for Unicode text means it can truly be used globally. It enables us to quickly answer questions like “Who have we got that can?.....”
Julie Windsor, Director of Operations UK & Benelux at Cezanne Software said. “For companies like LINPAC with large numbers of employees worldwide, Cezanne provides a single, centralised system to enable it to understand and better manage its most important and valuable resource – people. This benefits both individual employees and organisation.”
