Turisme de Catalunya chooses Cezanne Software’s Hosted HR solution

Turisme de Catalunya, the public consortium of the Generalitat de Catalunya (the self-governing body for Catalonia) is responsible for promoting tourism in the Catalonian region of Spain. They have chosen key modules from Cezanne Software’s suite of integrated HR applications to help them improve their Human Resource management.

The consortium wanted a tool that would help them effectively manage their human resources, especially in the area of recruitment. With the implementation of the Cezanne Software solution, their selection and recruitment process has already become much stronger.

Francesc Pallarols Rusca, Director of Human Resources of Turisme de Catalunya says: “Having compared the different HR solutions in the market, we selected the core People module of Cezanne Software together with the recruitment module and the employee portal. We chose the Cezanne solution because of its functionality, its availability as a hosted delivery that allows us to avoid major financial investment, and for the positive attitude of Cezanne’s team of people who were focused on solving our needs”.

Fast and secure implementation
Senior managers at Turisme de Catalunya believe their choice of an advanced HR tool, like the Cezanne Software suite, is easily justified because of the great benefits it provides and because it can be delivered on a hosted or ASP (Application Service Provider) basis. This means the software can be accessed through the internet, avoiding the need to commit to unnecessary licence and implementation costs.

According to Francesc Pallarols: “We found the Recruitment module fast to implement and easy to use. Cezanne Software’s ASP tools meant the application could be configured easily and we could get going quickly.” He was also impressed by the professionalism of the Cezanne team; “They were very competent, with a willingness to find a solution that would meet our specific needs. The response times to our requests have been excellent.”

The specific requirements of the Consortium, as well as the need to translate the software into the Catalan language, meant there were some customisation and configuration requirements that were included as part of the implementation.

Working at full strength
Turisme de Catalunya has been making full use of the Cezanne suite since the beginning of the year. The system is being actively used not only by the HR department but by the whole of the organisation, thanks to the system’s employee portal. Employees and their managers report that the main advantages are better information, greater transparency and the ability to access their own information online.

Senior managers at Turisme de Catalunya have already identified the short, medium and long term Return on Investment (ROI) they expect from the Cezanne Software system, as well as the positive impact it will have on their performance as a global organisation.

They expect this ROI to be even higher when they implement competency management. “We are now focusing our efforts on competency management. We want to have this in place by the end of the year, as well as a link between the training and competency evaluation of our employees”, Francesc Pallarois concludes.
