International higher education institutes, Glion and Les Roches, select HR solutions from Cezanne Software in SaaS mode to manage their HR and recruitment activities.

The Glion Institute of Higher Education, based in Switzerland since 1962, and Les Roches International School of Hotel Management, in Switzerland since 1954, are both part of the American Laureate Education network and provide the foundation of the global hotel industry. They have selected different modules from Cezanne’s HR software suite to manage their human capital in a Software as a Service (SaaS) environment.

The Glion Institute is divided into two campuses, one in Glion, above Montreux on the edge of Lake Geneva and the other in Bulle, in the heart of Gruyère, a county known for its tourism and vitality. Les Roches is located in the charming town of Bluche, a few minutes from the famous resort of Crans-Montana. Together, the two schools employ more than 500 people.

In late 2008, the Human Resources Department of these institutions contacted Cezanne Software and its partner, Cegedim SRH, to ask for advice about how to implement a system to support their Recruitment, HR Administration and Payroll needs.

With Etienne Audoin, Deputy Director of Cezanne Software France, the five members of the project team worked together to define the requirements. The priorities were identified as; setting up a common database to share information and allowing HR to focus on value-added activities (Cezanne People module); and the automation of their recruitment process (Cezanne Recruitment module). A second phase will include organizational charting (HRCharter) as well as the analysis and simulation of compensation policies (Cezanne Salary Analysis).

The aim of Laureate’s HRIS project is to implement a simple HR solution, scalable and integrated with the payroll engine, TEAMSRH, from Cegedim SRH. This will allow the HR Department to reduce delays due to data checking and information take on, and improve the quality of information and advice provided to employees.

Alexandre Negro, Comp & Bens and Administration Manager for the Swiss Laureate and Project Manager said: “We were looking for a simple, practical and effective recruitment management system. We particularly needed to set up our own database of candidates, so that we could identify candidates for urgent replacements more quickly. We wanted strong reliability, professionalism and to be able to reduce the time it took to manage the recruitment process, so that we could dedicate more time to support the managers in finding relevant candidates. We wanted a flexible and scalable tool that reflected the philosophy of our schools, and our sector, of constant improvement.”

“As well as this, we wanted to be able to access to our data from anywhere, at any time. This is why we chose Cezanne.”

He adds: “The partnership that already existed between Cezanne Software and our payroll partner, Cegedim SRH, was also a major benefit. The two way integration provided by the system means that most data is automatically transferred to the recruitment software and vice versa, and data related to compensation, contractual or personal updates in the TEAMSRH system, to Cezanne Software. Essentially, we needed an expert and experienced partner who could help us to achieve our goals and revolutionize our current working methods”.

Laureate Switzerland is already planning to develop its HRIS with the introduction of self service access to promote cooperation and the adoption of the Career & Succession Planning module to help managing their employees’ career development.
